These talismanic candles and linocut prints were created during the annual heliacal rise for the fixed star Regulus, in the pre-dawn moments of September 4th, 2024.
Regulus, the Heart of the Lion, shines in the flames of these candles. Crafted with several significant sunthemata under the auspices of the star, these candles are dressed with the aerial parts of celandine and mugwort and contain garnet beads with a final touch of gold leaf.
The Heart of the Lion brings honor, recognition, and leadership to those who carry its flame with them bringing success in business and personal matters. The difficult and chronic illnessess and pains caused by black bile are said to ease and melt away under the light of the Lion Star.
The candles are 4”x3.5” in frosted golden jars. They are dyed yelow, dressed with appropriate herbs and contain beads of garnet. The prints were made during the helical rise as well, featuring the brave countenance of a lion surrounded in a crown of laurel.
